Vignettes Styled by Mikel Welch
For the 2026 KBIS booth, James Martin Vanities has collaborated with Mikel Welch to create two bathroom vignettes highlighting two of its new collections. Leaning into his modern yet traditional aesthetic, Mikel incorporates layered textures and organic materials to create spaces that feel elegant, authentic, and lived in. Mikel intentionally designed the two vignettes to feel completely opposite, giving designers and customers two distinct design perspectives to inspire their own spaces.
● The first vignette, titled “English Countryside Elegance,” features the new 72” Kinnsden Collection double vanity in Sable Oak. For this design, Mikel was inspired by the vanity’s architectural detail, reminding him of the English countryside and the charm of the Cotswolds. Soft blue tones, layered floral wallpaper, and traditional lighting details create a space that feels like a well-traveled home. The vanity’s spindle detailing and double-sink functionality anchor the design, while a sculptural bathtub completes the timeless story. Mikel shares, “While I’m known for working primarily with neutrals, I wanted this space to feel bold yet restrained. The goal was to create something that felt elevated yet lived-in. When designing the space, I created it for someone who values comfort, beauty, and timeless design.”
● The second vignette, titled “Modern Sculptural Simplicity,” features the new 72” Allamari Collection double vanity in Dune Mist. The design offers a sharp contrast through clean lines, structure, and restraint. The floating vanity’s louvered wood detail feels sculptural yet modern. A neutral color palette keeps the focus on form, craftsmanship, and quiet impact. “The color palette was intentionally restrained so the vanity could truly be the star. This vanity stands confidently on its own,” Mikel added.
“Being able to touch the vanities, see the craftsmanship up close, and most importantly, meet the team behind the brand made a huge impression,” said Mikel Welch about collaborating with James Martin Vanities. “I approach projects from a relationship-first standpoint. For me, it’s never just about working with a brand. There has to be a genuine connection. This collaboration felt like a natural fit.”

New Product Launches
The New Nautical with Allamari
Distinguished by a louvered façade and gently curved profile, the Allamari Collection showcases nautical-inspired architecture. Available in Dune Mist and Sable finishes, the wood louvers feature a rich, wire-brushed texture and sleek, beveled brass knobs that are highlighted by wood back plates, providing a graphic focal point. What’s more is that the vanity is mounted above a motion-sensing LED-lit shelf with customizable settings, providing a floating effect. The Allamari Collection is currently a finalist in the Best of KBIS Awards Style Statement: Bath category.
Heirloom Elegance with Kinnsden
Defined by balanced proportions and subtle details, the Kinnsden Collection is a modern revival of the early Americana aesthetic. The graceful taper of baluster-shaped spindles softens the design's clean lines and face-framing trim, evoking antique stair spindles and 18th-century furniture. Its mid-century modern simplicity adds a contemporary feel, while the rich finishes, constructed of oak solids and veneers, provide warmth and an enduring, heirloom elegance. The Kinnsden is available in Sable Oak and Weathered Oak finishes and the 48” and 72” sizes feature a new hot tool organizer.
Classic and Collected with Bellshire
The Bellshire Collection blends classic craftsmanship with smart, space-efficient design. Beveled picture-frame doors, a symmetrical layout, and refined brass pulls create a tailored look, while subtly carved corbels and posts add a playful touch. Bellshire is available in Bright White and Honey Oak finishes, four sizes and a coordinating makeup counter. Features such as FreePower-compatible tops, integrated outlets, and a built-in hot tool organizer bring everyday convenience to shared spaces, pairing generous storage with a refined, dressing-room feel.
